Marketing Manager

Our client, a leader in the financial industry is seeking a Marketing Manager to join their Retail Personal banking team on a 12-month contract with the potential to extend of go permanent! This is a remote position for the time being, with the expectation to be hybrid in the future with the office based in Toronto.


  • Support a team of Sr Lifecycle Marketing Managers with managing full campaign execution
  • Craft marketing briefs so our partner teams can deliver stellar marketing creative and communications to our customers
  • Responsible for end marketing journey to ensure a best in class customer experience across channels
  • You will also be embedded in a fully cross-functional Lifecycle Marketing team tasked with architecting customer journeys, acting as a key support Marketing function
  • Maintain a focus and discipline on results, helping to set up regular campaign reporting to gauge marketing campaign performance and to inform program planning, program optimization

The role’s accountability weighting by category is as follows:

  • 10% Marketing Planning and Strategy
  • 90% Initiative/Campaign Execution (including associated budget management and risk management)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma, preferably in Communications or Marketing
  • At least 2 years relevant work experience in lifecycle marketing /email marketing/CRM experience
  • Experience in Financial Services is an asset
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and can build relationships amongst diverse partners and stakeholders within a matrixed organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail
  • You have a track record of successfully executing marketing programs on time. You have strong project management skills and can manage multiple priorities at once
  • You have a strong customer focus; excited and passionate about creating great customer experiences
  • You are a strategic thinker. You know how to analyze marketing problems and have experience creating and executing innovative marketing programs
  • You are passionate about the Retail banking landscape
