Compensation Analyst

Our client, a leader in the financial industry is seeking a Compensation Analyst to join their Wealth Management team on a 6-month contract. This is a fully remote position for the time being, with the office based in Toronto. The Analyst is responsible for processing Financial Planner (FP) compensation on a Bi-weekly basis, assist with compensation related inquiries and investigations, and assist with testing of implemented changes where compensation process is impacted as well as regular reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities
  • Generate ideas and identify business improvement opportunities
  • Accountable for implementing sales compensation as well as any compensation plan changes
  • Responsible for the processing FP payroll files on a bi-weekly basis
  • Assist with compensation related inquiries and investigations
  • Assist with testing of implemented changes where compensation process is impacted
  • Test any change or enhancement to the FP compensation database
  • Produce monthly sales and compensation reporting


Qualifications:

  • Possesses a university degree/college diploma and/or 2-3 years of related experience
  • Demonstrates knowledge of banking business an asset
  • Broad knowledge of Bank products, services, and investment products
  • SQL – creating SQL statements via AQT (Advanced Query Tool), MS Access etc. to extract data from various databases and build reports
  • MS Excel – advanced formulas, VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)
  • MS Access – Coding, Database structures, VBA, forms etc.
  • Demonstrates advanced writing and documentation skills

  • Well-developed process improvement skills and interpersonal skills
